WILD BLACKCAP raspberries readily establish themselves in abandoned farm field across most of Canada. The long flexible canes will bend to the ground when loaded with the black raspberries and reroot a new plant where the cane tip touches the ground...natures way of spreading the plant...spreads as well by birds spreading the berry seeds. The black berries are high in health promoting anthocyanins and are sweet and tasty for fresh eating.
