SWEET BLACK CHERRY - BING TYPE

$125.00

BING cherry trees do not survive our cold winters but we have other varieties that do survive our -35 C temps. Bing cherry was discovered in Oregon (USA) 150 yrs ago and it is not suited to our Canadian climate.  With cold spring weather it difficult to pollinate and the ripening cherries crack open and rot when rain occurs in August.  A lot of research has gone into finding modern replacements for the Bing sweet cherry and has resulted in several superior selections from Canadian research stations:

STELLA, LAPINS, SWEETHEART and TEHRANIVEE

All of these self-fertile varieties above have proven their resilience to our colder, wetter Canadian climate and all of their fruit is of excellent quality. Let us know the variety you want by email or we will choose what variety we think is best suited to your area…. Stella , Lapins, Sweetheart or Tehranivee?
