Hickory nuts are one of my favourite nuts ...with their sweet and nutty, but delicate pecan-like flavour. Excellent eaten fresh or lighted "toasted" and used in your favourite pecan dishes. Most native hickories have been cut and it is time we started replanting this venerable Canadian hardwood with its delicious nuts. We sell hickory seedling trees grown from our best tasting and largest hickory nuts. Slow growing species for first 5 yrs but then takes off to a larger 50 ft tree.
