Nannyberries
$70.00
This multi stemmed shrub grows wild in our farm fields. Nannyberries produces panicles of white flowers in the spring followed by clusters of sweet edible black berries that are also known as wild raisins. This fruit will hang on the branches all winter until wildlife finishes them off. The nannyberry is very hardy and disease resistant and can be planted in any type of soil. Nannyberry is a native Canadian shrub that is great for creating edible shelter belts that wildlife and human forages both will appreciate. Because the nannyberry shrub suckers slowly they can form a very dense windbreak and winter shelter for wildlife.
