Heritage (Apricot/Plum)

$75.00

A cross between an apricot (mostly apricot) and a plum, the Heritage Aprium was discovered near Creemore Ontario on an abandoned farm. The mother tree had a 1 meter diameter trunk and was only about 4 meters high. The locals believed that it was a plum tree because the fruit was so juicy. The fruit of the Heritage Aprium looks and tastes like an apricot but is very juicy and has the same texture as a plum......which led us to conclude that the original seed brought over and planted  by early European settlers(100 yrs ago?) must have come from an apricot tree that got "open pollinated" by a plum  Sold out until fall of 2017
