Cherries - Crimson, Red and Gold  

These fruit are our grand kids favourite and they can pick and eat from the ground as cherries are produced  on a small bush of approximately 5 ft. Very ornamental species with beautiful silver foliage, bronze-metallic bark and masses of  fragrant yellow flowers in spring. These flowers turn into cherry fruit literally surrounding the branches in the fall and this delicious fruit will hold on branches into winter. These cherries are packed with kids nutrients at much higher levels than other fruit(anti-oxidants lycopene, Vit C, etc). These delicious little cherries can be enjoyed raw, dried, or processed into jams, juices, jellies. This tough plant is drought resistant, grows in full shade or full sun and fixes nitrogen thereby fertilizing your soil for free!. Best choice for interplanting in agroforestry or permaculture orchards as well as those looking for a carefree, versatile fruiting bush in tough growing areas like depleted city soils or landfill around house. Also these cherry plants are quick to fruit and produce loads of cherries when two different varieties are used for cross pollination.

Our gkids like these fruit better than blueberries, apples, pears and grapes … we gave them a choice this fall and they kept going back to these cherry  fruit.
