Most gooseberries varieties we offer originated in countries other than Canada. Our Wild gooseberry found growing wild on our farm should be better adapted to our northern climates. We expect the fruit to be slightly different for each Canadian gooseberry plant we sell and the fruit taste will be more like the gooseberries that used to grow in the wilds of Canada. These self-fertile, Zone 3 bushes produce very unique gooseberries and will connect you to the berries of our early settlers to Canada.
