Silver Absinthe shrubs(5 ft) have beautiful feathery silver foliage and an intoxicating aromatic smell. Both the scented fern like leaves and flowers have a wide range of uses; in salads, potpourris, dried flowers, as pesticide by repelling insects, attracting wildlife and bees, flavouring vermouth and medicinally for stimulating appetite, aiding digestion and expelling worms. This tough little plant( zone 3)  will survive drought (and total neglect) but can be cut or pruned to make a neat, attractive functional garden border or roadside hedge.
