European Pear - BO BART


Similar in taste and texture to the world's most commercial pear...the Bartlett. We think Bo Bart is a much improved version of Bartlett ...why?....because Bo Bart trees produce larger, sweeter fruit than Bartlett and Bo Bart is resistant to the dreaded pear disease called  "fire blight" . Over past 30 years we have tried to grow Bartletts but they all died from winter cold( -40 C) or from fire blight... but our Bo Bart trees are still producing loads of fruit.  Can try in colder climate Zones 2.3.4 as well as the usual commercial pear growing warmer areas of Zones 5-8. Pick the Bo Bart fruit when still firm and let ripen off the tree for that "buttery sweet" Bartlett flavour and texture.
