The Ginger Gold apple is higher quality replacement for Golden Delicious. It is sweet when it is still green but if left on the tree to ripen it will turn yellow with a slight red blush. The flesh is white to cream and has a sweet and slightly tart flavor. Ginger Gold apples will store for many months.
